3 buyers ordered 4 weeks running. Invite to subscribe?

Drops get them in.
Subscriptions make them stay.

Look at who actually buys from you. The same names, over and over. They already know they want it — but every week, the drop asks them to decide again: catch the post, remember before Thursday, order before it sells out.

Some weeks they don't. Not because they lost interest — because ordering took an action and the action didn't happen. A subscription lets them decide once. The drop still feels like a drop; it just stops losing the people who meant to be there. Same regulars, same orders, every week.

02 Schedule your drops

One drop a week, three drops a week. Your call.

Set the days you make. Pick an order window and a pickup window. Cap quantity so you don't end up with eighty orders to fill at 3am. Want a second drop on Wednesday for the office crowd? Add it.

Every purchase quietly invites buyers to make it a standing order — never a hard sell.

03 Run orders and pickup day

One screen. One thumb. Bag, text, hand off.

Saturday morning you open emmer and there's the list — buyers grouped by pickup slot, items pre-totalled, allergens flagged. Pack a bag, check the box. Text the slot when bags are ready.

Print the same list if you'd rather work off paper.

04 Turn regulars into subscribers

We make the ask. You make the food.

When a buyer's already at checkout — bag selected, card out, in the mood — emmer offers them a subscription right there. You don't have to ask, follow up, or DM anyone.

Skip any week, free. Cancel any time. Nothing in your way, nothing in theirs.

Subscriptions, designed
for both sides of the bag.

Predictable for you. Flexible for them. Capped so the math always works. The three things drops alone can't promise — built in.

01 For you

Standing weekly orders.

Subscribers reserve their bag for every drop. They don't reorder. You don't chase them. The order's already in by Friday night.

Cara · since wk 14 $23 / week
02 For them

Skip weeks, no penalty.

Going camping? Out of town? They tap skip and pay nothing. The subscription keeps going. No-commitment makes commitment easier.

2 skips this month $0 charged
03 For the math

Capacity caps. Always.

Set a max per drop. Subscribers get their spots before public orders open. You never oversell. You never scramble at 3am to cover a promise you didn't mean to make.

Custom orders

The order that
doesn't fit a drop.

A catering tray. A birthday cake. Twelve loaves for someone's office on a Tuesday. Build the order for that one person, and emmer handles the rest of the conversation.

Hollander Pantry sent you an order — 12 sourdough + 3 packs cinnamon rolls, pickup Sat 10am. $144.

Marcus paid $144
  • Built for one person, not for the public.

Add the items, set the price, pick the time. It never shows up on your storefront and it doesn't eat a slot in Saturday's drop. No fake drop, no hidden product, no workaround.

  • The link goes out on its own.

Hit send and emmer texts them the order and a way to pay it. You're not copying a URL into a DM, wondering if they opened it, or asking about it again on Friday.

  • You find out it's paid without looking.

A notification when the money lands, and the order joins the same pickup list as everything else that morning. Nothing to reconcile, nothing to chase.

And then Marcus is a customer.

The office that ordered twelve loaves lands on your list like everyone else. They hear about your next drop. When they order again, emmer makes the same standing-order offer it makes every other regular — you don't have to think about it, and you don't have to sell them anything.

Your customer pays our fee, not you.

No monthly subscription. No setup fee. emmer's small platform fee is added at checkout and covered by your buyer. Card processing comes out of your payout at the standard online rate.

Built with the makers,

A handful of founding makers run their whole drop on emmer. We watch their Saturdays so we know what to build next.

I was running orders out of Instagram DMs and a Google Form. Saturday I'd be in the kitchen with my phone in flour, trying to figure out who paid and who didn't. Six weeks in on emmer and 18 of my regulars are subscribed. I wake up Friday already knowing what I'm baking.

Questions, asked plainly.

The ones we get most.

I'm using another platform. How hard is it to switch, and can I bring my customer list?

Yes — and we recommend it. Export your customer list as a CSV from wherever you are now and we'll import it for you, names, emails, phone numbers, and order history. Your existing buyers get a one-time announcement that you've moved to emmer, with a link to your new storefront. We don't spam them and they're never shared with anyone.

The actual switching part — pointing buyers at the new storefront URL — takes one Instagram post. You can launch your first drop the same day.

Do my buyers have to subscribe?

No. Subscriptions are an option at checkout, never a requirement. Most of your buyers will still order one drop at a time — that's exactly how drops are supposed to work. The subscription path is there for the regulars who want to lock in a standing order.

Can I take an order that isn't part of a drop?

Yes. Build the order for that one person — items, price, pickup time — and emmer texts them the order along with a way to pay it. It never appears on your storefront and it doesn't take a slot in your drop, so a catering tray on a Tuesday doesn't have to become a fake Tuesday drop.

You're notified when it's paid, and the order joins the same pickup list as everything else that morning. The buyer lands on your customer list too, so the office that ordered twelve loaves hears about your next drop.

What if I want to take a week off?

Cancel the week's drop with one tap. Subscribers are notified automatically — no charge runs for that week, their next bag rolls to the following Saturday. No emails to write, no money to refund.

When do I get paid?

Two business days after pickup. Money lands in the bank account you connected at signup. You can see exactly what's coming and when from your dashboard.

Subscribers are charged the night before each drop, so subscription income hits your account the Monday after.

Do I need a website already?

No. Your emmer storefront is your website. It comes with its own URL (your-brand.emmer.app) and renders fast on every phone. If you have a custom domain you'd rather use — say, hollanderpantry.com — point it at emmer and it works the same.

What does it cost?

No monthly fee. No setup fee. Your buyer pays a 5% + 55¢ fee on each order at checkout. Card processing (2.9% + 30¢) comes out of your payout. Nothing else.
